As an Odyssey enjoyer, I liked this.

If I had to complain, I’d say the dialogue is corny and sometimes needlessly repetitive. The major characters like Odysseus and Penelope are less complicated and interesting than they should be, but other characters like Antinous and Eurylochus and Eumaeus make up for it by stealing the show.

I really can’t complain too much, though, because The Odyssey is still one of the all-time greatest stories, as well as one of my personal favorites. It’s a treat to be able to enjoy it as a nice big movie like this one.

Also, Agamemnon looked so cool every time he was on screen. And that one scene! With Athena! You know the one. Chills.
